You can dive to depths not usually considered safe for deep divers. You may need to adhere to local regulations. There are also opportunities to explore some of nature's most beautiful underwater environments such as Elphinstone Reef in Belize, the Galapagos or Elphinstone Reef. Continue reading to learn more about the conditions and locations that make deep diving such a special experience.
Elphinstone Reef
For the best underwater experience, dive at Elphinstone Reef on a liveaboard. In this location, you can also dive backwards. This means that you need to be comfortable in your backward roll. You'll have more opportunity to see sharks and other marine life during early morning dives, when there are fewer people in the water. There are also more tropical fish. The resident hawksbill tortue will also be available for you to view.
Blue Hole in Belize
The Great Blue Hole off Belize is a large marine sinkhole. This stunning diving site can be found near Lighthouse Reef. The Great Blue Hole, which measures 124m deep, and is 318m wide, covers 70.650 square meters. These are some of most spectacular underwater scenes you will see in the entire world. The Belize diving destination has a cave-like environment that deep divers will love. It is also known for its high visibility and warm water.

Galapagos
If you are looking for an adventurous and rewarding diving experience, consider becoming a deep diver at Galapagos. Galapagos Islands have a lot of fascinating marine life. The water is often opaque and cold, making it difficult to see underwater. The cool season (June-November) is when the water temperature is cooler and the currents are stronger. This is the best time of year to dive in the Galapagos Islands. You can find this helpful guide to scuba diving the Galapagos Islands if you are unsure if you are ready.
Elphinstone
For its vibrant marine life and soft coral, you should dive the Elphinstone Reef. The reef is 300 metres long and lies between 20 and 40 meters deep. It is covered by large gogonians, sponges and sea whips. Drop in to the finger-shaped plateau for redtooth triggerfish and giant trevally. You might even spot a hammerhead, which is rare and very difficult to find. The dive site is known for its clear waters and strong drift.
Belize Blue Hole
The Great Blue Hole is a place you should visit if you ever wanted to dive deep into the Caribbean Sea. Located about 62 miles from the mainland of Belize, the Blue Hole is a near-perfectly round hole. It is located at the Lighthouse Reef atoll's center and is approximately 125 meters in depth. Scuba divers and snorkelers have enjoyed the beauty of its surface waters for many decades. However, very few have braved its depths.
Elphinstone and his buddy group
Elphinstone, also known by Elfinstone, is a popular boat dive site in Southern Egypt. This saltwater dive spot is located in Marsa Alam. It has a maximum depth 150 feet (46m). Visibility is between 61 and 70 feet (19 to21 meters).
