The store assistants are friendly and knowledgeable, making it easy to learn the basics. They also provide tips and advice on the best places to dive.
Molasses Reef
Popular diving area is the Molasses Reef south. Here you will find large grouper, sharks and tarpon. This dive site is located within a Sanctuary Preservation Area, so fishing is prohibited. Molasses Reef is named after the fact that the SS Slobodna was trying to transport cotton back from Europe and ran aground there.
Southpoint Divers
Southpoint Divers is a prestigious dive center in Key West. It is the oldest dive center in Key West and has been in business since 1991. You can take classes or book a charter. M/V Phoenix comes with a cameratable, fresh water showers as well as storage space. It also has two dive ladders. It can carry up to 40 divers. Southpoint Divers does not take more than 27 divers.

Horizon Divers is the best dive shop in Key West. This dive shop has more than 100 sites within a short boat drive from the shore. Horizon Divers also offers snorkeling tours to tourists.
