Choosing the right dive regulator

A regulator adjusts the pressure of diving gas to suit the diver. While this is most commonly the case, a regulator can also control pressures for other gases used during diving. A dive regulator can also be called an alternate second stage. Attached to the tank of the diver is the regulator cylinder. It will allow the diver to maintain his underwater comfort by allowing him to breathe through it.

Scuba regulators

Scuba regulators form an integral part to a scuba divers system. They control how much air is supplied to the diver. This allows them to breathe comfortably. They also allow for air delivery to be stopped or started under water. A purge button on the regulator allows the diver to empty the water chamber and let out a stream of oxygen if necessary.

Alternate stage

The primary stage and the second stage are the two main parts of a regulator for divers. The primary stage delivers air to the diver while the secondary stage replenishes it. Alternate stages can be cheaper or less efficient. The secondary stage can still perform the same functions as the primary one, but it is not as efficient.

Balanced regulator

The Balanced diver regulator is a flexible and efficient scuba dive regulator that delivers diving gas with minimal effort. The Diver's Choice is the Balanced dive regulator, thanks to its innovative design and high-quality materials.

DIN valves

When selecting a dive controller, one of your most important considerations is the valve type. There are two types of dive regulators: Yoke and DIN. An O-ring on a Yoke Valve fits into a threaded fitting on the tank’s valve. A DIN valve has an O-ring that fits into the regulator's first phase.

Swivel joint hose adaptor

Divers have a variety of accessories, including a swivel hose adaptor that fits into a regulator. It helps you route the regulator hose naturally and reduces jaw strain. You can also share air with your buddy. These accessories can be used in a few seconds and should be washed off after each dive.

Regulators with environmental seals

There are many options for environmentally sealed dive regulators. These regulators are excellent for cold water divers due to a number of advantages. You can make them corrosion-resistant by using zirconium as an alternative to brass. In addition, many of these products feature a factory fitted environmental seal and a large purge button. Some come with a limited life warranty.
