The University of Illinois Ice Arena Center Ice Cafe is now open to the general public. The cafe, located next to the Customer Service Office offers food and beverages. There is also an Ice Arena Pro Shop, which stocks a wide selection of hockey and skating accessories.

Gas leak in UI Ice Arena
After a gas leaking from its ice arena, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign issued an Illini-Alert. The building, which is located at 406 E. Armory Ave. had to be evacuated in precaution after Ameren Illinois crews noticed a gas leak. To stop further contamination, firefighters closed a sideway that leads to the arena. The leak appears to have originated below the building.
