Kate Hudson needed to be certified in scuba diving to be part the film "Fool's Gold". Although she was initially scared to dive, she finished her course and became certified. She loves scuba diving now!

Many people wonder why James Cameron is famous for being a diver. He is probably the most well-known person in the world because he spent so much time as a director of films. Despite his busy schedule he still made it to Beneath the Sea New York. His busy schedule was due his involvement in the James Cameron Awards. However his busy schedule meant he was also closely following the media. Beneath the Sea management was able to keep his presence low-key, in order not to be publicized.


Zale Perry

American diver Zale Perez is a writer, and scuba diver. Born in Milwaukee she discovered diving as a child. Zale, a skin diver and scuba divers, was an early pioneer in scuba dive. Zale was also an underwater equipment tester and specialist. In 1955, Sports Illustrated featured Zale on the cover. Later, she was a scuba instructor. She also began taking photographs under water.

Greg Louganis

Greg Louganis, an internationally recognized diver, has a unique background that includes acting and sport. As a kid, Louganis was a gymnast. He became a diver when he turned nine. He chose to pursue an acting profession after graduating from University of California Irvine. He took acting classes and began to appear on commercials and plays. He also started acting in television dramas.

Alexandre Despatie

Alexandre Despatie, a Canadian diver, was born June 8, 1985. He was the first diver to win three World Championships at once, and his feat has earned him a place among the world's best. He also anchors the French-language coverage for the Olympic Winter Games.

Mike Nelson

Mike Nelson is a well-known diver. He was also a star of the television show "Mike Nelson" which aired on NBC. He was a free-lance diver and former Navy frogman. His expertise on diving allowed him to save everything from a bicycle to a nuclear missile. The show also featured voice-over narration by Lloyd Bridges.
