Divers are taught how to navigate with a continuous guidanceline

Cave divers are taught to use a continuous guideline to help them navigate safely from the entrance to the surface. These lines are either non-directional or directional and must be visible at all times. The diver's guidance line is also known as the diver’s jumping line. It connects the diver’s lines.

To help them navigate through caves, divers use three types of markers. As a guideline, permanent line markers (or line arrows) are used for visual and tactile purposes. The arrows are also used to indicate the direction to the exit. They may also be used for marking jump spots within the cave.

They must be able locate a lost guideline.

A diver must be able to locate a lost guideline when they dive into a cave. There are many techniques that can be used to help a diver find a guideline. You can use a touch signal or an underwater chart to locate a guideline.

Guidelines are used to guide a diver through a cave. Divers should be able to use them. Depending on how deep the diver must dive, the guideline is usually mounted on a reel. An example of this is an open water diver who may only require a 50-metre guidance line. However, a cave diver will need multiple reels with different lengths.

They should have the correct equipment

You need to be comfortable and safe when diving in caves. Cave water can get quite cold so it is advisable to have a suit on hand if you are planning a long dive. You can also use a waterproof notebook to keep track of important information while diving. These notes can be very useful during navigation in the cave and at decompression stops.

Divers should have additional fins, and oxygen cylinders. Cave diving can be dangerous so divers should have the correct equipment. Cave divers will need to use specialized equipment due to the high water pressure in many caves. You should be cautious when choosing equipment.

They should have self-control and discipline

It takes disciplined self-control to dive in caves. Cave divers need to be able see clearly in caves. Cave divers should be able to maintain calm and control their breathing in these situations.

Once inside the cave the diver must get off the scooter and swim about three to four hundreds feet until the line ends. The cave may be very tight and have high levels of silt. It is possible to dive to and from the end of the line in a relatively easy manner, but divers should not actively seek the end markers. Training involves blind staging, team protocols, and simulations of silt-outs caused by tanks being dropped on sediment.
