These courses include the NAUI Enriched Airnitrox Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver), SSI Adventure Diver (Open Water Diver), and PADI Enriched Air Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver).
PADI Enriched Air Diver
PADI Enriched Air Divers is for divers who desire to extend their dive time. The course includes home study and a short classroom lesson. The EANx course teaches the basics of how to record the percentage of oxygen in a scuba tank.
Air divers who have been nitrox-enriched can extend their time underwater without needing to stop often. This is because the air mix contains less nitrogen. It has a higher safety margin. Furthermore, enriched mixes often have 32% to 36% oxygen, which is ideal for diving in shallower waters.
NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
An enriched-air diver certification is a good step towards taking your diving to the next level. This course covers the basics of blending, as well as the hazards associated with high oxygen concentrations and how to use the equipment. Moreover, you'll learn how to operate a dive computer and analyze the contents of your tanks. A standard air dive table will also be covered. You'll also learn about common blending procedures for nitrogen and oxygen.
Nitrox, also known by the name Enriched Air, is a type or breathing gas that contains higher levels of oxygen than normal air. The increased oxygen content means you can stay underwater longer and not need to refill your tank. This is good news for your health, as it alleviates decompression fatigue. SSI Adventure Diver
SSI is an internationally recognized diving organization, and the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification is one of its most advanced ratings. You must have knowledge and experience in order to be certified. You must have completed at minimum 50 dives as well as four specialty courses in order to receive this award.
The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox Course is designed for students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to dive in reduced visibility. This course teaches divers how to navigate in darkness, use specialized equipment and communicate with their buddy. They will be eligible for the SSI Nitrox Specialty Certification once they have successfully completed the course.
SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver Course is an internationally recognized certification program. It includes three sections: academic learning; in-water swimming pool training; and multiple open water dives. This course teaches you how to plan and dive with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. This can help you increase your bottom time and shorten your surface intervals, and may help you avoid decompression sickness.
PADI and SSI have different certification procedures. With a PADI certification, you are required to purchase your manual. With an SSI certificate, however, your card will be issued by the dive center in which you have completed your course. PADI certification center may offer temporary cards you can use as proof that your certification is valid.
