Make a career as a Cavern Diver

drysuit

You will need to take a scuba dive course if you plan on becoming a cavern divers. This course includes four scuba dives: the first is an outdoor practice dive, where you will learn the basic techniques of handling line and reel, avoiding silt-outs, and air management. Your instructor can also help you plan your dives and manage your orientation. You will be able dive in caves, or other caves after completing the course.

Safety

Cave diving safety protocols follow the Rule of Threes. The Cave Diver should have three sources for light and at minimum two tanks. The gas should be divided into three different sections so that they can survive the dive. If the dive team has previous experience with cave diving, a more conservative approach to gas management is recommended. Cave divers should be careful when diving in caves.

Equipment

Cave diving requires the use of specific equipment. Two safety reels should be carried. One should be used as a guideline reel, and the other should be used during the dive. Each diver should have a safety reel that has enough line to reach the cave's entry and the longest permanent line. Many manufacturers will bundle the spools with guideline at the edge when you purchase a new reel. This makes them more likely to jam. You should trim about 10 meters (30 feet) of your line before you use it to avoid jamming.

Maximum penetration

TDI offers a cavern dive course designed for scuba divers that wish to dive in areas with limited vertical access. This includes overhangs and cavern diving. It is not mandatory to sign up for a cavern dive course. However, the course will provide the necessary skills to make the most of the environment. You will learn how safe to navigate narrow spaces that are often hidden from public view.

Maximum depth

Cavern diving is subject to certain restrictions. Cavern diving requires that you never dive at night and that you are aware of your limits. Cavern diving requires more advanced training that other types of diving. To be able to dive in caverns safely, you will need to know the basics and understand your limits. It is a good idea to have some experience in cave diving before you attempt it. Then, you can begin a journey into the world of cavern diving!
