St Lucia has many options for scuba divers. Near the Anse Chastanet coral reef, you will find some of the most breathtaking dives. These dives are great for anyone, even if they don't feel comfortable scubadiving. They range between 10 and 25 feet and feature some of the most colorful corals.

Anse Chastanet Reef

Anse Chastanet is located on 600 acres of land with two beaches of volcanic black sand and beautiful coral reefs. The resort offers excellent scuba dive, snorkeling, as well as non-motorized watersports. Guests can relax on the beach or enjoy complimentary guided hikes. An organic farm and chocolate laboratory are located on the estate.

Ansechastanet has won many awards, including five Best in Readers' Selection awards. It is great for beginners as well as more experienced divers. The reef features wrecks, wall diving, and boat diving. Many divers enjoy night dives on the Anse Chastanet reef.

Dani Koyomaru

Scuba divers who want to dive in Saint Lucia have a few options. You can either visit Rosemond's Trench or go deeper. This site is known for its large schools of tropical fish, giant man-sized sponges, and intricate coral formations. Diving here is also a great way to see the famous Saint Lucia reef system.

A few miles away from the coast lies the Daini Koyomaru ruin. In 1996, this Japanese dredger was sunk. The ship is still partially submerged, and the wreck is propped up by the superstructure. Upturned decks are visible, as well as inscriptions in Japanese and other languages.

Dani Koyomaru dredger

It is an amazing wreck to dive. The Daini Koyomaru, which was a Japanese fishing boat, was dredged in 1996. It measures 74m in length and is approximately twenty-four meters high. Sunk on its side, the dredger is now a safe dive site for experienced divers. French angelfish, garden and moray-eels, as well as barracudas, are some of the marine life that live in the dredger.

The 165-foot cargo ship Lesleen M, a Japanese dredger, is another popular St Lucia dive site. While the depths of this dive site are limited, the reef is home to a number of fascinating creatures, including scorpionfish, flying gurnard, and rays.

Soufriere Marine Management Area

You can dive in St Lucia's Soufriere Marine Management Area to see the beautiful coral reefs. The marine management zone was created to preserve the area's pristine waters and support a healthy ecosystem. It was established because of environmental degradation and conflict between resource users. In particular, conflicts between scuba divers and local fishermen were critical to the creation of the SMMA.

Since 2004, the Soufriere Pintons site has been a UNESCO World Heritage area. It is managed as an area of nature reserve, and offers some of the best diving in St Lucia. The site is home of many coral species and has a large number of tropical fish. This area is also known for the passage of various species of cetaceans and predators. Divers can also enjoy the beauty of the marine biodiversity.
